Platform-Specific Considerations

Character Limits

Facebook63,206 (but keep shorter)

Just because you CAN write 63,000 characters doesn't mean you should. Optimal post length for engagement is 40-80 characters on most platforms.

Customizing by Platform

When posting to multiple platforms, you can customize content for each:

Why Customize?

Different platforms have different:

  • Audiences and expectations
  • Character limits
  • Hashtag conventions
  • Best practices

How to Customize

  1. Create your post for all platforms
  2. Click Customize by Platform
  3. Edit each platform's version:
    • Shorten text for Twitter
    • Add more hashtags for Instagram
