Content Planning Tips
Weekly Planning Routine
A suggested weekly workflow:
| Day | Activity |
|---|---|
| Monday | Review last week's performance |
| Tuesday | Plan this week's content themes |
| Wednesday | Create and schedule posts |
| Thursday | Review and approve scheduled posts |
| Friday | Light touch—engage with comments |
Monthly Content Mix
Aim for variety in your content:
| Content Type | Frequency |
|---|---|
| Course updates | 2-3x per week |
| Member content | 2-3x per week |
| Promotions | 2-3x per week |
| Educational | 1-2x per week |
| Behind the scenes | 1x per week |
| User-generated content | When available |
Avoiding Over-Scheduling
More isn't always better. Posting too frequently can:
- Annoy your followers
- Reduce engagement per post
- Dilute important messages
Recommended frequency:
| Platform | Posts per Day |
|---|---|
| 1-2 | |
| 1-2 | |
| Twitter/X | 3-5 |
| 1 |
Event-Based Scheduling
Planning Around Events
For major events (tournaments, opens, sales):
- Create an Event in the calendar
- Plan posts leading up to, during, and after
- Create a content sequence:
- Announcement (2 weeks before)
- Reminder (1 week before)
- Final call (day before)
- Live updates (during)
- Recap (day after)
Tournament Social Media Timeline
2 weeks before: "Save the date! Annual championship..."
1 week before: "Only X spots remaining..."
3 days before: "Final practice tips from our pro..."
Day before: "Tomorrow's the day! Here's what to expect..."
Day of: Live updates, photos, scores
Day after: "Congratulations to our winners..."
Time Zone Handling
How Timezones Work
- Posts are scheduled in your club's timezone
- The system converts to UTC for processing
- Posts go out at the correct local time
For Multi-Location Clubs
If you have members in different timezones:
- Consider peak hours across all locations
- Or create location-specific posts scheduled for local optimal times
Troubleshooting
Scheduled Post Didn't Go Out
| Cause | Solution |
|---|---|
| Account disconnected | Reconnect and reschedule |
| Platform outage | Post went to retry queue |
| Content violated policy | Review and edit content |
| Scheduling in the past | Always schedule for future |
Wrong Time Posted
- Verify your timezone settings
- Check if daylight saving time changed
- Review the calendar time vs actual post time
